For preschool and lower elementary students, I can:

  • read All the Places We Call Home or Ripening Time

  • share fun information about me and the creation of the story

  • answer student questions

  • for longer visits, I can add on the YOUR PLACES activity (for All the Places We Call Home) or the WHICH PLACE activity (for Ripening Time)

For upper elementary and middle school students, I can also:

  • answer student questions about writing/publishing a book, etc.

  • lead students in the poem activity, A PLACE I CALL HOME

  • lead a mini writing workshop

For high school students, I can:

  • read excerpts from All the Colors We Will See and Autumn Song

  • answer student questions about writing/publishing a book/being an author, etc.

  • participate in a discussion/interview

  • lead a mini workshop about writing personal stories
