A few people and organizations doing stuff that I love...
I write a lot about gifts and struggles related to immigration. My husband, Nyasha Gopo, actually does something to help immigrants to the US successfully transition to their new lives in the States. Check out his professional coaching practice.
Years ago, before I started writing, I used to work in the area of economic and community development. During this time an acquaintance introduced me to the organization PEER Servants. From the beginning, I loved their commitment to partnering, "with indigenous, autonomous microfinance institutions in Africa, Asia, Eastern Europe, Latin America, and the Caribbean." PEER Servants works with many organizations who are doing tremendous work to enable people to experience economic, social, and spiritual transformation.
